Lisa Song Wins Pulitzer Prize
- Along with colleagues Elizabeth McGowan and David Hasemyer at Inside Climate News, Lisa Song was recently awarded the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting "for their rigorous reported on flawed regulation of the nation's oil pipelines, focusing on potential ecological dangers posed by diluted bitumen (or 'dilbit'), a controversial form of oil". Lisa was a student of KVH in his freshman class 'Solving Complex Problems' at MIT and a lifetime member of Terrascope, the special freshman program for which he was founding director at MIT. Congratulations Lisa!

Science Prize for 'Solving Complex Problems'

Channel Flow and Landscape Evolution
- Reasonable people disagree about the importance of large-scale channel flow to evolution of the Tibetan Plateau, but KVH and Byron Adams have published a paper in the new Treatise on Geomorphology on how physiographic characteristics of the plateau might reflect channel flow. Email KVH for a pdf.
